Why I built this: In 2025 I felt increasing financial pressure due to my existing business being very seasonal. I needed a reliable way to provide for my family all year round. I already had practical trade skills — so I launched Cambridge Handyman & IT Services.

I built the website and launched Google Ads within days. The goal wasn’t a “perfect brand” — it was a professional online presence that could generate enquiries fast.

Industrial electrician (2006–2016): apprenticeship → experienced wireman, then on-the-road tech.

Hands-on residential work: full DIY kitchen fit (units, plumbing, electrics, tiling).

Ad spend is separate and paid directly to our advertiser (your card, your account). We’ll recommend a sensible starting budget for your trade and area, then optimise from real data.

2 What happens after 3 years?

You can pay a £500 release fee to move the website to your own hosting and self-manage, or stay on a smaller support plan for occasional updates (and optional ads monitoring if you want it).

3 Can I cancel early?

Yes — there’s a first-90-days safety net. If we’ve launched and you’re running ads at the recommended minimum budget and responding to leads, but you’re not getting enquiries we can improve, you can stop within the first 90 days and owe no further monthly payments. After that, we’ll keep terms simple and transparent (minimum term + fair early exit).

1 What ongoing work is included in the monthly fee?

Hosting, maintenance, small content updates, performance checks, and ads optimisation at a sensible cadence. The portal Business Starter Guides are included too.

2 Will you help with quoting, admin and taxes?

Yes — via practical guides and templates. It’s guidance from experience, not formal accounting advice. For anything complex, we’ll point you to the right professional.

3 What if I’m too busy to answer calls?

We’ll give you a simple missed-call workflow (text-back templates and follow-up steps). Response time is one of the biggest drivers of booked jobs.
